Feel confident leading your first tour

Training tours are specially designed for first-time Group Leaders and take place across the country. Once you enroll 15 travelers on your upcoming EF trip, your spot on a training tour is covered by us so you can learn from teachers with plenty of tour-leading experience and explore ways to align educational travel with your curriculum. Whether you embark on an immersive tour or take part in our virtual training program, we’ll prepare you to facilitate experiential learning for your students out in the world.

Sneak peek: New York City

All of our training tours include a balance of expert-led workshops and unforgettable travel experiences. Check out highlights from a training tour in New York City, and get an idea of what you have to look forward to.

Local perspectives

Before waving “hi” to the Statue of Liberty on a cruise around Ellis Island, start your day the NYC way: with an authentic New York bagel.

Must-see landmarks

Take in panoramic views of the city from atop the Empire State Building. If you think the Big Apple is dynamic by day, you’ll love seeing it lit up at night.

Training tours that take you places

We offer a variety of training tours so you can find an option that best aligns with your student tour. Need help choosing the perfect itinerary? Reach out to your Tour Consultant for advice.

To be eligible for a training tour, you must have at least 15 paying travelers enrolled on your upcoming EF tour. View the full Terms and Conditions for more information.

Virtual training fit for your schedule

If you prefer online to on-the-ground, you can still connect with experienced Group Leaders, EF staff, and fellow first-timers through our virtual training program. With live webinars, one-on-one chats, and on-demand sessions, we’ll help you develop the skills to successfully lead your group.
